The main level has an open floor plan, and there are wrap-around, multi-level decks outside. It’s tucked over a hill on a wooded 2 acre lot, just 1.5 miles from Old Man’s Cave.

Tenant verification may be required in certain cases. Tenant will be responsible for the cost of repair of all damages that exceeds the coverage Limit of the Property Protection Program. The amount you pay for the Property Protection Program includes any related insurance, technology-support, service, and claims adjudication costs, along with administrative fees charged by the Cabins and Lodges for making this coverage available. This program does not cover intentional damage, those damages resulting from the negligence of tenant, or damages from non-compliance with the terms of this agreement. Determination of actual damages will be at the sole discretion of Cabins and Lodges and the program underwriter..

    Loved sitting on the deck surrounded by trees and enjoying the hot tub. Nice having a full bath on each Level. 10 minutes to old mans cave and the visitor center.

    Great house! We had 7 people and 2 dogs stay. There are enough beds for 14 though. Large family room and big family room on lower level. Plenty of hang out space. Kitchen was big enough to cook every meal in. They should invest in new pots and pans, also baking sheets. They are very worn and old. There are 2 wrap around decks that are closed in so our dogs could be outside freely. We did bring a baby gate for the front stairs to block that off. A huge picnic table and hot tub on one of the decks. Great views into the forest from it. The house is on the end of a dirt road cul-de-sac. VERY secluded and private. We loved it. Minutes away from all of the caves and trails. We took our 19, 24, and 28 year old daughters and their boyfriends. Everyone had a great time. We would stay at this location again.

    Secluded but not far off of 664 and lake Logan and hocking hills caves and lodge. Cabin is a little dark but loved it. Sleeps 14 people which I didn't realize. Hot tub was very clean. Have one at home so know what to look for w the hot tub. Love love the decks and covered patios!!!!

    Cozy getaway! The rustic beams were great. Kitchen well equipped. I wished there were some more lights, I know some people like cabins to be darker/cozier but I would have preferred more light. For being pet friendly it was quite clean. We didn't have pets and I didn't realize until after we booked that pets were welcomed but none of our allergies flared up so that told me they keep it quite clean!

    The lodge was immaculately clean. Even the windows were spotless for viewing the beautiful woods surrounding the cabin. The location was perfect. It was very quiet in the woods yet very close to Hocking Hills attractions.

    We had a great time on the unit. Hot tub and fireplace was used daily. Just relaxed and enjoyed bringing in the new year with the same friends and our grown adult daughters that we have brought in the new year with for 25 years

Chief Logan Lodge is a Hocking Hills luxury rental that sits high elevation, surrounded by lush forest. It is the perfect space for up to 16 guests and 3 pets! Within walking distance, although still privately-situated from Little Chief Cabin.

    We had 10 adults and 1 teenager ranging in age from 13-70. The house is beautiful and had everything we needed including a propane line connected directly to the gas grill which we were not aware of until we arrived. The only concern we had were the narrow steep steps from the parking area to the deck/entry. A bit challenging with luggage and groceries, but we really enjoyed our stay and I would totally recommend this property as it was convenient for our activities of candle making, hiking, horseback riding and driving to Logan and Laurelville. ☺️

    The property was as amazing as advertised! The location was perfect whether you wanted to hang out at Logan Logan, kayak, hike in Hocking Hills, or just relax and play games in the cabin. The o it minor complaint was inconsistent Wi-Fi, otherwise it was a dream!

    My family and I stayed here for the weekend and had a wonderful experience. There were plenty of amenities available to accommodate all of our needs and the property was very clean. We had a great time hanging out in front of the wood fireplace and enjoying the pool table, sauna and hot tub. Great stay!

    We have been making a trip to the hocking hills area for our family Christmas get together for several years. This is our favorite cabin so far. We introduced three more teenagers to the wonder that is Ash Cave and they loved it. Fans for life I think. Chief Logan Lodge had everything we needed for an enjoyable family weekend. The hot tub was nice, beds were comfy, bathrooms and showers were nice. We liked that several of the bedrooms had access to the deck. Parking areas had room enough for our vehicles. We were happy to include our furry family members, thanks for allowing them.

    We were a group of 11 adults and 2 young children. We enjoyed having bedrooms on different levels to allow to young children nap times/early bedtime. Common areas/kitchen slightly on the smaller side for the amount of people the cabin can sleep, but surprised that it was not a big deal. Additionally, other reviews mentioned well water taste, but water tasted completely normal. Do note that water pressure/amount of hot water is severely limited at times and especially in the basement bathroom. Rooms/beds are a mixture of sizes and firmness, might consider that when first choosing rooms. Deck space was lovely, we had warm weather during our Christmas stay and it was nice to hang out on the deck some, which would be a huge draw in summer/fall as well.

    Anytime we had questions and called, they were answered promptly. Easy process to book and to obtain check in information. The only problem we had was the basement bathroom leaked but was addressed with management to check into it.

    This property was exceptionally clean, the kitchen was well stocked and there was plenty of room for everyone in our family (13). There were two nice TV's with dish so there were plenty of options for the evening and the kids enjoyed playing on the pool table in the basement.

    Cabin had great amenities and was in a great location. It looked great and had tons of space. Overall, we had a very good time there. Cabin looked good when we arrived! I spoke with the booking staff a number of times leading up to the reservation and they were very accommodating and helpful.

    We had a nice stay and enjoyed the cottage. Suggestion, for those of us that lead busy lives, it would make it easier if the amenities were included such as firewood and propane - most would not have an issue with payment $20 more for these couple items to be included. I did not take the time to read everything and was left with not propane to cook my prepared meal. My issue, but I am not sure I've ever stayed at a VRBO where I did not have this included. Thank you and hope to come back, we did enjoyed ourselves and that little slice of heaven!

    I booked this property for a friends birthday and for New Years! The cabin was just as adorable in person as it was in the pictures. We had such a good time. It was clean, the hot tub was relaxing, the fire pit was nice. The beds were extremely comfortable and the kitchen has everything you need for cooking. I truly enjoyed my time and the booking process was easy.

    Photos on the site do not do this cabin justice , it's a lot bigger in person . Cabin was very clean , great location to hiking and stores if we needed something . Check in was smooth and everything worked great. Plenty of games for the family . Extra blankets and pillows if needed ! A few recommendations for those visiting this cabin bring Tupperware or foil if you plan to save leftovers if cooking in . Pens and paper if you're planning any games that require these items . Otherwise everything you need is here! Would recommend this cabin to all . Our first family trip to hocking was a success . They even had two decorated Christmas trees so we had a surprise Santa visit

    Plenty of room for our group of 6 with lots of room to spare. Everything you could need in the kitchen for cooking, etc. Location was excellent! In close proximity to everything we wanted to do. We are already talking about how we need to go back !

    We had a wonderful week. The property and cabin were gorgeous and located 5-20 minutes from everything Hocking Hills has to offer. The communication was perfect and we knew what to do every step of the way. The outdoor living space was only topped by the beautiful inside open floor plan. The family area downstairs was a HUGE hit with my granddaughters, who now want to play pool all the time. Thank you for everything!

    The House was great for our girls weekend. We all had a space and loved the hot tub and big living area. We have all the tools for cooking dinner one night and it was convenient to all the wineries, old man's cave and literally right down the street from Cantwell's cliff which was such a beautiful and easy hike!

    We had 5 adults stay at this cabin and had a great time. We went kayaking only 15 mins away, had a fire at their lovely fire pit, relaxed in the hot tub, and enjoyed billiards and board games on their huge deck. Definitely recommend.

    We had 6 adults and 6 kids with PLENTY of room. Pool was great! Hot tub was great. Arcade was perfect! Everything was nice quality and clean. The property owners thought of everything! Wifi was a bit slow, but that is the only thing that wasn't great. But even with the slow speed, we could get online and the direct TV worked well, too. We will definitely return. The kids didn't want to leave!

    This property is ideal for a large family gathering. We had 8 adults and 5 children plus an infant and there was plenty of room. The kids enjoyed the pool - it was a little too cool for the adults. The game room / arcade was a hit with everyone. We had 2 pets with us and having that separate space for them was ideal. We had no issues with the long, up hill driveway in spite of not having a 4 wheel drive vehicle. Everything had been well cleared. We did not have phone service - just to be aware in case that is important. We did have adequate internet though. Property manager was very responsive to questions. Highly recommend this place to make memories!

Hot tub was clean and warm. Hot tub a little on the small size for large group. The property was well maintained and clean plenty of room for walking. We did not get to enjoy the gas or wood fire pits out door maybe next time.

    We spent 4 nights here with our family (7 adults, 5 kids) and it exceeded all of our expectations! The house was incredibly clean - likely the cleanest VRBO I have stayed at. The beds were comfy. There was a ton of space. The internet worked well overall considering how remote the house was. We spent all day and night at the pool and our kids loved it! We would definitely stay here again! 10/10 recommend.

    I stayed in the Sterling Lodge for 2 nights with 12 other teachers. We had a blast! What a GRAND cabin! It was so beautiful and well maintained both inside and out. It has a movie screen/theatre area, pool table, bar, SO MANY BEDS, hot tub, pool (we couldn't use it, it wasn't open yet), and so much more! It was a very relaxing weekend! You will not regret renting this cabin!

    This is my second time staying here and I plan to be back next year. The cabin is very nice and extremely clean. There are plenty of bedrooms and lots of space inside and out. The bed I slept in is very comfortable. We were blessed with beautiful weather and spent most of our time under the covered patio by the hot tub or sitting in the sun. We were there before the pool opened, but I'm sure it's very nice, too.

    Easy to get to, clean, plenty of space, and a fully stocked kitchen. We had a girls weekend here and it was just perfect. We enjoyed the hot tub, porch, and patio. We had a great time and didn't want to leave

    The house was beautiful! It had everything we needed for our stay. We enjoyed the hot tub, pool table and home theater. My only complaint is that it is so remote, there was no cell service.

    If you are looking for a nice, clean, and secluded cabin with all the amenities then Sterling is the cabin you want. I stayed there with a group of teachers that needed to unwind from a crazy year... this cabin was perfect! Plenty of room, pool table, hot tub and a pool at our disposal. My personal favorite, the huge front porch with rocking chairs.

    We had a large group of co-workers stay for a girls weekend getaway at Sterling Lodge. The place was huge and had plenty of room for all of us to sleep. The beds were comfortable and the kitchen was equipped with everything you needed. We were all able to relax in the hot tub and watch a movie together in the basement theater. We had a beautiful fire in the fire pit. This place is great for a quiet getaway and close to Old Man’s Cave. I can’t wait to go back.

    I've stayed in four or five different cabins in Hocking Hills. Sterling Lodge is by far the nicest one I've ever seen. It has amenities that others don't come close to! There are several spacious bedrooms. The bed I slept in had an incredibly comfortable mattress that I will consider purchasing for myself the next time I'm in the market for one. You won't regret staying at this amazing cabin!

    We were met with a very clean, large yet cozy cabin. Plenty of towels, extra blankets and pillows. The movie room was awesome! Pool was clean and warmer than expected. Although secluded, we weren't far from the trails or restaurants. Would stay again!

    A group of ladies stayed at this cabin for a weekend retreat and there was plenty of space, marched the description perfectly. Definitely worth the trip and within driving distance (20 minutes) to beautiful hiking trails through Hocking Hills.

    Great place and location for family to get together for husband's 60th birthday. We would hike during the early hours, hang in the pool in the afternoon, cook a sit down meal at dinner and have game time in the evening. The place had everything we needed. A great time had by all.

    This is a wonderful lodge type property that was perfect for a gathering with our children and grandchildren. We were lucky that the weather warmed up early so we could enjoy the pool. The large tables and huge counter top in the kitchen made it easy for group cooking and fun food gatherings. Highly recommend!

    This place is absolutely fantastic, everything you need for a relaxing time. The furnishings are all in great condition, very comfortable beds. Plenty of space for a large group of people. Very nice in ground pool. Hot tub & billiards table. Plenty of things for everyone to do wonderful fire pit with benches. This Lodge sits on a great piece of property

    We chose this cabin based on decor and layout. Several small tables throughout the main and lower level gave us lots of places to play games (i think we did every puzzle on the shelf!) The second refrigerator and second coffee maker were awesome, kitchen was well-stocked, beds were very comfortable. The booking process was very simple and provided all the information we needed. I had to talk to the staff about a few questions I had and they were very helpful! We have rented a lot of places over the years and this was one of the most welcoming places I've stayed. Sometimes people renting houses can make you feel like they are doing you a favor by letting you stay there and I didn't get that vibe at all!

    The layout of this cabin has kept us coming back for three years in a row. We like the loft area for the kids ( 5 under 5). It's a place they can be but we can still see them. It's perfectly located and always clean. The beds are comfortable and the basement not too cold. The big front porch is where we keep our coolers and boots we kick off between homes.

Starter supply of hand soap, dish soap, paper towels, toilet paper, detergent (if applicable), dish tabs (if applicable), and trash bags Linens and towels- Fully made beds with sheets, and comforters, bath towels, hand towels, wash cloths, sponges for dishes, spare blankets (amount varies by property).

Common items to bring for your stay:

  • Clothing and personal bath toiletries.
  • Food and food related items- spices, coffee/flat bottom coffee filters, specific/unique small appliances (rice cooker, slow cooker, etc.)
  • Firewood/Fire starting materials
  • Beach towels for hot tub/pool (if applicable)
  • Specific/preferred bedding and bedding for the pull-out beds and/or futons

Check In/Check Out Times

Check In is at 4 pm and Check Out is at 11/10 am depending on your property. (early check in/late check out can be added to your reservation for a fee, schedule permitting)

Damage Protection Coverage

Our Damage Protection program covers up to 10xs the fee that is charged. For example: if the damage protection fee is $30, then there will be $300 in coverage. Cabins and Lodges is responsible for filing all program claims on behalf of the tenants and the tenant will be notified in writing of any such claim. Tenant verification may be required in certain cases. Tenant will be responsible for the cost of repair of all damages that exceeds the coverage Limit of the Property Protection Program. The amount you pay for the Property Protection Program includes any related insurance, technology-support, service, and claims adjudication costs, along with administrative fees charged by the Cabins and Lodges for making this coverage available. This program does not cover intentional damage, those damages resulting from the negligence of tenant, or damages from non-compliance with the terms of this agreement. Determination of actual damages will be at the sole discretion of Cabins and Lodges and the program underwriter..
